What is OptionCharts?
OptionCharts provides charts and tools designed specifically for option traders. Our goal is to help you gain insights into the options market and make more informed trading decisions.
Where is your options data from?
Our options data is from the Options Price Reporting Authority (OPRA), and we partner with Intrinio to access the OPRA data feed. We also calculate various options data ourselves, such as IV and Greeks.
Are you an OPRA data vendor?
Yes, we are a registered OPRA data vendor and authorized to display 15-minute delayed options data.
What is the data delay for options data provided by OptionCharts?
Our options data is 15 minutes delayed and updated at least every 10 minutes throughout the day during US trading hours (9:30 am to 4 pm Eastern Time (ET) on weekdays).
Do you offer a real-time options plan?
At this time we only offer 15-minute delayed options. We’re working towards offering a real-time options plan in the future.
How often is open interest data updated?
Open interest data is updated once a day during premarket. You can find the newly updated open interest data on OptionCharts by approximately 8:30 am ET each trading day.
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is responsible for providing open interest data for options trading in the United States. The OCC posts open interest data the morning after a trading session. For instance, the open interest data displayed on a Friday morning represents the trading activity from Thursday.
I am a complete beginner, how do I get started with options trading?
Before engaging in options trading, we recommend that you first learn the basics of options and the inherent risks associated with options trading. You can use various resources such as books and courses to learn options trading, many of which are free. One industry-provided resource is the Options Industry Council. They offer free guides and a course on options trading.
It is also advisable to practice trading in a paper trading account and to start with a small amount of capital while you are learning.
To begin trading options, you will need to open an account with a brokerage that offers options trading capabilities. Once your account is open and funded, you can start placing options trades through your brokerage’s trading platform. OptionCharts does not support trading directly through our platform.
Do I need to create an account to use OptionCharts?
You can use OptionCharts for free. However, you might want to create an account and upgrade to Premium plan to unlock all charts and features.

Billing Questions
What payment methods do you accept?
We partner with Stripe for payment processing. We accept all major credit cards and digital wallets.
What is your refund policy?
We want you to be thrilled with your purchase. If it isn’t satisfactory for any reason, we will happily refund your purchase for up to 14 days after your payment. Request a refund to contact@optioncharts.io.
How do I cancel my subscription, view invoices, or update my payment method?
We use Stripe’s customer portal to allow you to self-manage your billing in one place. The customer portal allows you to:
- Cancel a subscription
- View invoices
- Update payment methods
- Update billing information
- Switch to a different subscription plan
To access the customer billing portal, log in to your account, go to optioncharts.io/profile, select ‘Manage Your Subscription’, and follow the onscreen instructions to log in to the portal.
How do I switch to a different subscription plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription, as well as switch to an annual or monthly billing plan. To change to a different subscription plan, please use the customer billing portal and choose ‘Update Plan’ once logged in.
To access the customer billing portal, log in to your account, go to optioncharts.io/profile, select ‘Manage Your Subscription’, and follow the onscreen instructions to log in to the portal.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your subscription will last until the end of the current billing period.
