What is OptionCharts?
OptionCharts provides charts and tools designed specifically for option traders. Our mission is to help you gain insights into the options market and make more informed trading decisions. Whether you're a new or experienced trader, our platform offers valuable resources to enhance your understanding of options and improve your trading outcomes. OptionCharts achieves this by providing unique data and insights into the options market, presented through user-friendly charts and visuals.
Where is your options data from?
Our options data is from the Options Price Reporting Authority (OPRA), and we partner with Intrinio to access the OPRA data feed. We also calculate various options data ourselves, such as IV and Greeks.
What is the data delay for options data provided by OptionCharts?
For Free and Premium subscribers, our options data is 15 minutes delayed. For Ultimate subscribers our options data is real-time. Our charts are updated continuously during trading hours.
Do you offer real-time options data?
Yes! We now offer real-time options data to subscribers on our Ultimate plan.
Are you an OPRA data vendor?
Yes, we are an OPRA data vendor and authorized to display 15-minute delayed options data and real-time data to qualified subscribers.
I am a complete beginner, how do I get started with options trading?
Before engaging in options trading, we recommend that you first learn the basics of options and the inherent risks associated with options trading. You can use various resources such as books and courses to learn options trading, many of which are free. One industry-provided resource is the Options Industry Council. They offer free guides and a course on options trading.
You should also review the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options published by The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC). This document provides important information about the features and risks of standardized options.
It is also advisable to practice trading in a paper trading account and to start with a small amount of capital while you are learning. You can use our Saving Trades feature for paper trading.
To begin trading options, you will need to open an account with a brokerage that offers options trading capabilities. Once your account is open and funded, you can start placing options trades through your brokerage's trading platform. OptionCharts does not support trading directly through our platform.
Do I need to create an account to use OptionCharts?
You can use OptionCharts for free for basic features. However, you might want to create an account and upgrade to unlock all charts and features.
Do you have an API?
We do not currently offer an API for accessing OptionCharts data. Chart data can be downloaded in CSV format for supported charts. If you're interested in API access and want to be notified if it becomes available, please let us know here.

Billing Questions
How do I manage my subscription?
We use Stripe's customer billing portal to allow you to self-manage your billing in one place. The customer portal allows you to:
- Cancel a subscription
- Switch to a different subscription plan
- Update payment methods
- Update billing information
- View invoices
To access the customer billing portal, go to your Account Settings > Manage Your Subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
With OptionCharts cancellation is entirely self-serve, no questions asked. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
To cancel, go to your Account Settings > Manage Your Subscription > Cancel Subscription.
How do I switch to a different subscription plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription, as well as switch to an annual or monthly billing plan.
To change to a different subscription, go to your Account Settings > Manage Your Subscription > Update Plan.

What is your refund policy?
If OptionCharts isn't the right fit, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers.
To be eligible for a refund you must request a refund within 14 days after your initial purchase. Refunds are limited to one customer per lifetime.
