We upgrade our charts!

We’re excited to announce updates to OptionCharts aimed at improving design, navigation, and ease of use. In this post, we’ll walk you through the changes we’ve made.

Navigation

We reorganized and consolidated our charts to make navigation quicker and simpler. We now organize charts into these five main tabs:

1. Overview: View summary and aggregated options data for a given ticker.
2. Profit & Loss Chart: View the risk graph of various option strategies.
3. Option Charts: View various options charts for one or more expiration dates such as open interest, volume, max pain, and more.
   
4. Option Chain: View the option chain for a given ticker.
5. Option Contract: View the chart for a particular option contract, such as the option's price history and volume.

We consolidated multi-expiry and single-expiry pages

Previously, we separated chart pages for multi-expiry and single-expiry charts. With this release, we consolidated these pages to simplify and eliminate the need for navigation between them. For example, the open interest chart now allows filtering by a single expiration or multiple expirations using the expiration dates dropdown, instead of separating these into two separate charts.

Design

• Enhanced various chart pages adding new views, filters, and settings.

• Enhanced option chain table. Now supports both list and straddle view.

  

• Saves the state of each chart in the URL query parameters when chart filters or settings are updated, allowing you to navigate to the same view in the future.

• Behind the scenes we refactored a lot of code to improve performance and resiliency.

Branding Updates

In June, we updated our company logo and brand colors. We update pages across our website to reflect new branding and improved design.

Search Form

We upgraded our search form. You can now quickly access the search box using a keyboard shortcut (mac: command + k, windows: ctrl + k).

You can now Search by either company name or ticker.

Pricing and Plans

In June, we updated our pricing plans. We now offer an annual payment plan option and added new pricing tiers.
